How to Easily Scrape Charity Facebook Ads Using Gumloop

I've been playing around with Gumloop. I've been impressed. It's intuitive and after following the tutorials is quite quick to pick up.

One of the automations I've created is to scrape the Facebook ads library to see what ads certain charities are running. It's great for gathering ideas and insight. I'm going to set up a bunch of automations to automatically check for new ads once a week for 20-30 charities working across sectors i'm interested in.

It's saved me so much time, as I used to manually look up charities on ads library and then copy and paste things that caught my eye.

If you'd like me to set up an automation to send you ads from charities of your choice then do let me know. They'd be a set-up fee and then monthly subscription charge to automatically send you links to the sheets.

If there's interest, then I might even do a curated newsletter of ads that catch my eye or offer a subscription for certain sectors i.e. animals, human rights, children's charities, hospices etc. Drop me an email - [email protected] to let me know.

This is how the output looks:

50 ads Macmillan are currently running.

And here's 100 ads from RNLI.

Of course, you're free to do this yourself - here's the two-step process I followed:

There are lots of other potential use cases and automations that you can run via Gumloop and other automation tools, but I thought this was a helpful and relatively straight-forward one to get people started!
